The company has been operating in the Black Hills for a decade. New owner, Lori Barnett, began working at VIP after earning her real estate license and became the managing partner under the previous owner, Stephanie Lien, before purchasing the company earlier this year. “I was born and raised in Piedmont, SD and was instilled with the values that accompany most small communities: the value of hard work, integrity, and treating all people with the level of respect they deserve. I moved to New York in my 20’s to work on my history degree. As a single mother I left the east coast knowing there wasn’t any place I would rather raise my three children but in the Black Hills.”
